Shylo
Nursing Service has been proudly serving the needs of the North Shore
and Lower Mainland since 1980. Although we specialize in care of the
elderly and the terminally ill, we are certainly available to help
absolutely anyone else in need.
Shylo's
complementary Home Health Care professionals are here to assist clients
to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Each client's
needs are assessed on an individual basis and then matched with an
appropriate Caregiver(s).
Our Caregivers assist with every aspect of Home Health Care from simple
companionship to complete nursing care; from a few hours of light
housekeeping to around the clock care. Some of the duties we provide
include: assistance with personal care (bathing, dressing and
toileting), shopping (with detailed expense records kept), meal preparation (attention to special diets), day-to-day housekeeping or any task related to running a home; rehabilitation and exercise regimes and medication supervision and administration. All client daily activities and caregiving duties are charted at the end of each shift. These reports are legal documents.
Philosophy
We
believe that the majority of people would like to remain in their own
homes as long as possible and we strive to make this a reality. We work
together with family members, physicians and Public Trustees to
successfully nurse people in the comfort of their own homes.
